Dorothea “Dottie” Guju began her career as a dental assistant and it did not take long for her to realize she wanted to pursue her credential as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
A native of Franklin, PA, Dottie earned her degree from nearby Youngstown State University in Ohio. She practiced in NC for 16 years prior to moving to VA where she received her certification to administer anesthesia and nitrous sedation. She has currently been practicing in dentistry for 34 years.
She finds great satisfaction in her job – working with patients to achieve better oral health, and helping them understand how important it is to their overall health and well-being.
In the dental office, Dottie assists with a variety of procedures, including radiographs, deep cleanings with anesthesia and prophylaxis procedures.
Over the years, Dottie has offered so many patients the following advice: Do not put off visiting your dentist, as it only makes treatment more extensive and more expensive!
When she’s not in the office, Dottie enjoys photography, kayaking and hiking.
Her mantra? Live simply so others may simply live.
