Family Dentistry

For decades, Vogt Family Dentistry has been proud to provide general dentistry services to Gloucester and the Middle Peninsula.

Family dentistry, often called general dentistry, is about so much more than just teeth. At the core of our practice is a belief that good oral hygiene is connected to good physical health. Plus, when you feel good about your smile on the outside, you feel better about yourself on the inside.

Our comprehensive family dentistry services – for patients of all ages, from infancy to older adults – includes the following:

Routine teeth cleanings

The American Dental Association Recommends regular teeth cleanings every six months. At Vogt Family Dentistry our cleanings help remove stains, plaque and tartar, helping prevent cavities, gingivitis and gum disease.

Preventative care

Regular dental visits are important because it allows us to identify potential issues early on.

Flouride treatments

Topically applied fluoride applications help strengthen tooth enamel and reduce the chance of tooth decay. Children and adolescents, and some adults, are good candidates for fluoride applications.

Cavity fillings

No one wants to get them, but when they do, we are here to help stop the decay.

Tooth replacements

(crowns, bridges, implants)

Treatment of gum disease

Also called gingivitis, gum disease is an infection of the tissues that surround and support your teeth. Sometimes there are symptoms – tender, swollen gums that bleed easily. Sometimes there aren’t. If we suspect you have gum disease, our team will help come up with a treatment plan for you, before you face potential loss of teeth.

Cosmetic dentistry

(teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, bonding, gum recontouring). Let’s face it. We all want to smile bigger, and when we feel good about our smile, that’s easy to do. Consultations on cosmetic dentistry options are available.

Endodontics (root canals)

Root canals are recommended and performed with the soft tissue inside of your teeth (the area that contains the blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue of the teeth) become inflamed and diseased.
